Thick Mango shake with ice-cream , Mastani is a dessert drink originated in pune and is very popular.
The drink is probably named after pekhwa
bajirao;s wife Mastani.
Mango Mastani is rich and satisfying dessert.
As i am always craving for this recipe, i used to enjoy this mastani in pune @ sujata mastani & Agatya (tulshi bagh) , however after moving to USA , i was totally missing it , so i m sharing this mango masatani recipe with step by step with photo.
Ingredients :
1 . Mango : 3 to 3.5 cup ripped mango, roughly chopped.
2 . Milk : 1/5 cup full fat , cold
3 . Vanila / Mago ice cream : 6 to 7 scoop
4 . Sugar : 3 tsp
5 . Almond : 6 to 7 sliced
6 . Pistachios : 6 to 7 sliced
Procedure :
1 . Peel, Chop Mangoes and add them to blender
2 . Reserve a few chopped mangoes aside for topping the mastani drink later.
4 . Blend to a smooth thick milkshake, taste and add sugar if you want, if mangoes are sweet you can totally skip sugar.
5 . Slice a few dry fruits like pistachios , almonds, cashews.
6 . Take a glass add sliced mango in glass at bottom .
7 . Then pour milkshake in glasses till you have enough space at top for ice-cream scoops.
8 . Place 1 or 2 vanilla or mango ice-cream scoops.
9 . Decorate it with sliced dry fruits and mango.
10 . Serve mango mastani immediately with a spoon as well as straw.
