Tandoori Chicken
Ingredients:-
1. Chicken Drumsticks 4 to 5
2. Yogurt 1 cup
3. Salt 2 teaspoon
4. Red Chilli Powder (Kashmiri) preferred 3 tablespoon
5. lemon juice 1 full lemon
6. Garam Masala 3 tbsp
7. Mustard Oil / Mustard paste 3 tablespoon
8. Ginger Garlic Paste 4 tablespoon
Procedure:
1. Remove skin from the chicken drumstick.(or if any one like it can also keep it.)
some of them like chicken with skin and some without, so its up to you.
2. Wash the drumsticks nicely and remove the extra fat
3. With the help of knife make 1 slits on joint, 3 Slits on (cut) thigh , and 1 slit on bottom .
this are the areas where it does not get cooked properly. so after making cuts on the said
areas it will get cook properly.
1 st Marinate
On chicken add
salt
red chilli powder (Kashmiri)
Ginger Garlic Paste
lemon juice.
Keep the marinate for 10 -15 min.
2 nd Marinate
Take a bowl add
Yougurt
Ginger Garlic Paste
Red Chilli Powder
Garam Masala
salt
Mustard Oil / Mustard Paste
Take the chicken from 1 st. marinate and mix it in the 2 nd marinate.
Apply the marinated masala all over nicely and into the slits also .
Keep the Marinate for minimum 30 min and maximum not more than 1 1/2 day.
Do not use artificially colors. keep it natural .
The Kashmiri red powder will give it naturally color.
You can make this in Oven . Gas Oven or on grill.
To make sure the chicken does not stick to grill ,glaze the grill with some oil.
PREHEAT Oven @ 400°F.
keep the chicken for 20 min on side and then 20 min on other side.
at last while serving Brush it with Butter o top and Chat masala.
Chicken Tandoori is ready.
