Pav Bhaji
PAV BHAJI is one of the most popular street food, it's a spicy curry of mixed vegetables (Bhaji) cooked in a special blend of spice and served with soft buttered pav , is any indian food lovers dream.
I have been making pav bhaji since my teens and even today i make pav bhaji often at home. It is not difficult to make .
It's a perfect party food that can be made in advance .This recipe's step by step photos , tips will help you make best pav bhaji at home in just 40 to 50 min.
Ingredients
1 . Potatoes boiled & mashed :- 4 to 5
2 . Cauliflower boiled :-1 cup
3 . Green Peas and Carrots :- 1/2 cup
4 . Capsicums chope :- 2
5 . Tomatoes :- 4
6 . Onion chopped :- 3 to 4
7 . Ginger Garlic Paste :- 1 tbsp
8 . Pav bhaji Masala :- 2 tbsp
9 . Amchur Powder /Dry mango:- 1 tbsp
10 . Red chilli powder :- 1 tsp
11. Cumin coriander powder :- 1 tsp
12 . Oil :- 3 to 4 tbsp
13 . Butter :- 3 tbsp
14 . Salt to taste
15 . Turmeric powder :- 1 tsp
16 . Water
17 . Pav
18 . Chaat Masala as required
Method
1 . In a pressure cooker add potatoes , Cauliflower , capsicum, carrots. tomato
2 . Pressure cook it till 3 whistle.
3 . Mashed all the boiled veggies.
8 . Then add turmeric powder , pav bhaji masala, amchor powder , red chili powder, cumin coriander powder, mix all the ingredients well.
12 . Add some water and mix well.
For Pav
1 . Bring store bought pav
2 . On a Tava (flat pan ) add some butter , chili powder , and chaat masala.
3 . Mix all the masala well
4 . Place the pav on that flat pan , add the masala on both the side and serve it with bhaji .
your Pav Bhaji is ready.
Tips:-
The spice powder can be easily adjusted to suit your taste
If you don't have pav bhaji masala then add garam masala, but you can find it any local Indian grocer.
You can use oil instead of butter.
